Rockstar has silently announced via their RSS feed that the official site for Grand Theft Auto IV will be launching tomorrow. One could only imagine what will be included with the new site. We're predicting at least some new screens and maybe some new artwork and possibly some video from the game. Keep reading RockstarWatch for the latest.

Yesterday, Rockstar sent out another Grand Theft Auto IV hidden package via UPS next day air. According to other webmasters I have talked to, Rockstar sent out two different versions of the hidden package. The first version contains a license plate that says "N1K0". The second version which is the one we received is a T-Shirt that has the logo for "Liberty Swingers", the baseball team in Liberty City. I have taken pictures of the shirt. The pictures are below. Next up, "Liberty Cocks" shirt anyone?
Thanks for the shirt Rockstar!
Computerbild-Speile,a German Video Gaming magazine played the same demo that many online gaming websites did. IN their latest issue on sale now they list a few interesting features we have not heard much about yet.
- Pedestrian reactions to your driving, actions and interactions with them are more realistic than in previous GTA's.
- The wasted system we all know and love is still intact. If you die, you end up at the nearest hospital and loose your weapons as well as a small amout of cash. What is new here however is that instead of appearing at the hospital several hours later you now end up at the hospital the new morning.
- One button press will get you into a car, a second then allows you to start the car, most likely hot wiring the car works the same way.
- Niko wears a helmet while riding motorcycles, unknown is if he is required to wear it or if you can ride with or without it.
- Surroundings are more interactive, bullet holes from direct gunfire and environment reacting to explosions for example will all have an affect on the surroundings.
- You can find “useful things” in cars that you hijack. It's unknown as to what as of yet, but most likely weapons, money, items and special extras that help you through the game will be discoverable.
Thanks to RockstarUncut for the information!
Although we already knew that Australia is getting Grand Theft Auto IV uncensored back when the OFLC first announced a rating for Grand Theft Auto IV; Palgen, an Australian gaming site, has asked Rockstar to confirm that the Austrian version will be uncensored. Rockstar replied to them with this statement.
No GTA has been censored since Vice City. (Grand Theft Auto) IV has been rated in its entirety, the rating is on the OFLC website.
Now that it's confirmed Australia hasn't censored Grand Theft Auto IV, let's hope the ESRB and the BBFC follow in it's uncensored footsteps.
Thanks to Palgen.com.au
How I wish it were true! A few sites have recently been posting links to what is supposedly a new GTAIV trailer/TV-Spot. I can in fact confirm that this is not true.
Those who frequent our forum counter-part will know that the 29 second video was mastered by our very own Aaron. It's a mashup (that really doesn't do it justice) of scenes from the past three official trailers.
Aaron has also created a few other Rockstar related videos, which can be viewed at our Youtube channel, here.
EDIT BY AJ:
A few sites/YouTube accounts are trying to pass up Aaron's teaser as their own exclusive video footage. It's very sad to see people ripping other people's videos just for some more subscribers on YouTube or profit from ads. We freely allow people to use video created by us if credit is given where it's due but in a lot of the cases, there is no credit being given.
The Assoicated Press has released a new screen of Grand Theft Auto IV. The screen features Niko getting chased while driving in a cop car.
Thanks to psphacker108 for the heads-up.
Two new screenshots for Grand Theft Auto IV have been released by two different sources. The first screenshot you see below comes from The Associated Press. The screenshot features Niko getting shot at while standing near a car. You can see the damamge the car is getting from the missed bullets. The second screenshot was released directly by Rockstar. It features Niko walking away from an arcade that we think is called "VIDEOGEDOON" in the China Town District.
Dan Houser was recently talking to MCVUK and has said that he expects an OTT reaction by the press. We aren't partially surprised about this because all GTA games have caused a stir in the media in some form or another. Hot coffee anyone?
"If the graphics are slightly cartoony, we make sure the writing is slightly cartoony to match that," he commented. "Obviously, the graphics have gone closer to realism, so we wanted everything else to be closer to realism as well."
"I expect it because we've had so much of it in the past," said Houser. "I wish people would treat video games the same as other media. They seem to not want to do that for reasons that I don't understand. It's a convenient enemy for people."
We totally agree with this statement. Manhunt 2 is just one of many examples. Just to let you know the release date for GTA IV (If you don't already have it written on your wall) again it is April 29th
A few weeks ago, posters for Grand Theft Auto IV where leaked to the internet. These posters where part of Grand Theft Auto IV's advertising plan before the game was delayed. Now that the game is back on track, it's only fitting that Rockstar continues with it's plan.
A user on Flickr, freshyill, has uploaded a picture of one of the posters. On the updated poster, there is an email address where you can send tips about the suspects wareabouts. If you email tips@libertycitypolice.com, you will get an auto-reply stating that they are out to lunch. Both images are below.

We already know the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV will have downloadable content, but while surfing the internet today staff member Dustin found that EBgames.com has listed Grand Theft Auto IV, PlayStation 3 edition as also having downloadable content.
Recent talk would have us believe that this could indeed be true. It looks unlikely however that the PS3 will get the two exclusive ($50 million) episodic content downloads that Microsoft have been touting. Instead, we think this could refer to several additional packs that Rockstar may have planned for both platforms. Something small, think extra cars, weapons etc. The PlayStation 3 Special Edition lists the same information.
In addition, the "Number of Players" is listed as "1 to 2 [players]". Speculation and rumors abound; Could story co-op be a possibility? With the release only 3 months away, only time will tell. (We hope so!). Note, GameStop.com also lists the same information.
