The Simpson's have parodied Grand Theft Auto many a times before in both their television episodes and their movie this year. With EA and Rockstar growing ever closer lately due to their equal stances on video game violence, it comes as no shock that they are sharing ideas, or rather growing to be more like each other. The upcoming Simpson's game, called "The Simpsons Game", is clear proof of this. Grand Theft Auto style actions, plot and overall feel in a game with popular Simpsons characters and of course the well known Springfield.

Past Simpsons games haven't been as popular as hoped, and I feel if they continue with this Grand Theft Auto style game play it will be successful, in correspondence to their last few games that is. The trailer above will remind you a lot of the Vice City Stories trailers. The song playing in the background is by The Scorpions, it was also used in the Vice City Stories radio station, V-Rock. Some will remember this game earlier in the year when it used a Grand Theft Auto IV logo and website design for it's announcement websites which was later removed.
