Fan Made Max Payne Movie Shot Down
Fan Made Max Payne Movie Shot Down
Max Payne: Payne and Redemption, a fan made and independent film, was recently the recipient of a legal notice on April 22, 2008. The movie was made out of a team's free time for the last three years and even received blessings from Sam Lake, the actual creator and writer of the Max Payne games. Now we here at RockstarWatch understand that Fox is trying to protect it's investment for the rights of a Max Payne movie (they purchased the rights to a movie from Take-Two), however, the independent movie was started even before Fox decided to get on with doing an actual movie. Then going as far as to tell the group that they can't publish the fan made movie at all nor can they host trailers, that just well...a bit appalling to us. Especially considering the movie was going to free of charge for download. On behalf of the entire RockstarWatch team, I would like to say I sincerely hope Fox will come to it's senses allow this free fan made movie be published.
